There’s more than meets the eye at Bangsar South By Joseph Wong   josephwong@thestar.com.my W HEN a place is inspired by dreams, that location tends to stand out and this is the case with Bangsar South, a 60-acre integrated development by UOA Group.

This branded enclave, which has an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM10bil, more than lives up to its name, offering residents an attractive living environment that is coupled with its many food and beverage (F&B) amenities and reachability via the Federal Highway, Kerinchi Link and the New Pantai Expressway (NPE).

With Grade A offices and hotels to boost its proprietary, the development has elevated Kampung Kerinchi several levels up the rungs, by virtue of having Bangsar South nestled firmly within the area.

There’s no mistaking that Bangsar South is UOA’s flagship development.

The two have become congenial with each other as UOA is best known for its award-winning Bangsar South project.

But, UOA’s task is far from finished.

The developer is taking its time nurturing Bangsar South, to ensure that its value and market perception remains high.

The project at hand – The Goodwood Residence with a GDV of RM700mil – is pegged at creating favourable generational living conditions conducive to raising families.

In addition, the adjacent Nexus, which is the lifestyle centre in Bangsar South, will be realigned to house health and wellness attributes that would benefit both existing and new residents.

Bangsar South was not always the sought-after urban landmark that it is today.

This was the result of years of hard work.

Since then Bangsar South is considered synonymous with success, with many other projects hugging its fringe to leverage on its brand.

An artist impression of the clubhouse and its ambience.

Among the properties that UOA has created within Bangsar South include Nexus, Connexion Conference and Event Centre, Carmella Serviced Suites, The Village, The Horizon Boutique Offices, The Vertical Office Towers, The Sphere and The Park Residence.

To further complement the integrated development, UOA has masterfully created green islands of trees and landscaped areas, broad pavements with roundabouts as well as avenues that are winding and spacious, creating a good balance between the urban and the natural environment.

It is also improving on the access to Bangsar South via additional entry and exit points to reduce traffic congestion within the enclave.

Alternatively, residents and workers can walk to two light rail transit (LRT) stations, namely Universiti and Kerinchi.

Bangsar South is still developing with 10 years’ worth of projects slated for the integrated development, catering for the discerning urbanites as prices continue to edge up in this enclave.

Statistics have shown that the area is a promising spot for real estate development and investments. It is given that this area still has a lot of untapped potential, and UOA has only unveiled half of its gems.

With time, the diamond that is Bangsar South will sparkle with all its full offerings, confirming its status as a premier location.
